This was a really traditional effort - an old sheet! I just made a traditional tunic, trimmed in gold ribbon (which Amelia chose) and made some felt wings.
The halo was more difficult to ponder. I hate the concotions oftinsel strapped to a headband, so made some felt angel wing clips and a gold ribbon head band. I had intended it to be a alice band, but Amelia liked it low on her forehead, which actually did look more like a halo!! It was obviously a succcess as she wore it all day after the concert!!

Spotty Dresses
I have had this fabric for a while - and wasnt sure how to use it - but it leant itself towards two little pinafore dresses. The girls love them and they chose their own buttons (purple for Amelia and Orange for Lucy)
ofcourse Lucy wouldnt actually pose and show off the dress...
and they came home from Jack's party covered in blue and red icing - am hoping it will come out in a normal wash!!

Paper chains - Boring?
I wanted some cheap and easy hall decorations - they dont get much cheaper and easier than paperchains! But they dont have to be boring, using a rainbow of paper and some unusual shapes, I am loving the results, plus the girls helped too!! Will be repeating this in the lounge in more traditional Christmas colours!

Fireplace Guard
This is probably the best thing I have ever made. As soon as Amelia started crawling, something had to be done about the raw brick edged fire place! So I made a bumper. The navy used to match our settees, and I havnt got round to recovering it to match the new ones .. even though its been over a year now!!! It works brilliantly and has saved many a cracked skull!
