Wedding Pomanders

I made these Pomanaders for the girls to hold at Catherine & Rhys wedding based on several examples Ihad found online. I bought some polyester balls, felt, ribbon and used vintage buttons from Nanny Friday & Sutherby, so that part of them could be at the wedding too. I cut layers and layers and LAYERS of flowers on the Sidekick in white, ivory and fishia, then layered them, secured with a button and embroidered. Each one is individual and unique. I simply secured a ribbon handle to each polyester ball and glued the flowers on. There are 33 flowers on each pomander. It took FOREVER... but I was thrilled with the results. They were surprisingly sturdy too... they were bashed on several things and Jack used them as footballs too!!!!

My fascinator

I made my fascinator for Catherine and Rhys wedding from a tear drop base, sinamay bias and about 30 feathers! A few loops, some stitching and gluing later...

Unfortunately I didnt actually take a nice photo of myself in it... but Meme is a far better model anyway!!!

A Christmas dress for Amelia

Just continuing updating stuff I have made and not recorded!vI made Amelia this dress out of an old pair of suit trousers i wore to work and are obviously not needed now!! I used an old dress of hers to draft a pattern and simply crafted a long ruffle up the front - Lucy had a similar shop bought dress in a brown treed, so they were co-ordinating, but not too matchey matchey!!

Market Skirts

Finally got round to making Marhet skirts from Made. I used the last of the check cotton fabric from Mum's caribean cruise and some vintage buttons. Amelia has one large pocket and Lucy two small pockets, as I love them to be similar but not exactly the same. They have worn them several times with crisp white tops. Lovely!

T Shirts

I have made LOADS of stuff recently but just do not get round to recording it though!I love these tops from Boden .. but £17 is a lot - especially when its probably going to be stained/ruined on its first wear!!

BUt after looking at it I figure that its essentially the same as the hydrangea hair clips that I make - so I bought a pack of plain T Shirts and but flower shapes from some old satin pajamas of all things... hand stitched them on .. and both I am the girls love the results! I just wish I could remember to photo stuff as soon as the wear it ... before its chalked/sanded on!!!
